The Livermore City Council appointed Kimberly D. Cilley as the next city attorney during Monday’s regular meeting.
Currently assistant city attorney in neighboring Pleasanton, Cilley has more than 20 years of municipal law experience, including six years previously spent serving the city of Livermore, according to a press release from the city Tuesday afternoon.Cilley left Livermore to become assistant city attorney in Pleasanton in April 2024, according to Pleasanton city spokesperson Heather Tiernan.In the Pleasanton office, she provided counsel on land use, annexation, affordable housing and state housing law, according to Livermore city officials.Prior to working for the city of Pleasanton, Cilley also served the cities of Mountain View for almost 14 years and Morgan Hill for nearly two years, according to her LinkedIn page.
